A 13-year-old girl who had been missing for a month in Rosario was hit by a car on Circunvalación Avenue. The victim, identified as Luna Zárate, left her home on December 23 and was reported missing on the 30th, when her family filed a missing person report, according to local media. It was reported that the victim was run over during the early morning of the 24th by a Ford Focus while she was on the road, which led to her being transferred to the Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (HECA) where she died at 5:50 from severe trauma. The body remained as NN at the Legal Medical Institute (IML), where an autopsy was performed, while the Agency for Traffic Accidents and Involuntary Crimes carried out various expert examinations to determine the circumstances of the accident. Meanwhile, the justice system charged the 37-year-old driver with involuntary homicide. He was detained but later released and is now at the disposal of the Public Ministry of the Accusation (MPA).
